HULL.
Round Bilge, constructed completely of fibreglass, with 2,500 Ib. of lead ballast moulded within the keel section. This gives the advantage of tremendous strength and avoids any possibility of leaks occurring through keel bolts.
CABIN, DECK AND COCKPIT.
Moulded in fibreglass, chemically bonded and riveted to the hull, thus making a single integral unit of great strength. No leaks can occur through cabin top or deck and the boat is always dry.
ACCOMMODATION.
Interior appointments are both pleasing and functional.
- Full standing headroom,
- 2 settee berths in the main cabin,
-2 full-length berths in the forward cabin (queen size bed)
- a well-equipped galley with stove, stainless steel sink and fresh water pump,
- storage cupboards and a cutlery drawer .
TOILET.
The marine toilet is contained within a separate cabin. Sea cocks are fitted to all external openings, ensuring complete safety from leaks in the event of a pipe breaking.
FRESH WATER TANK.
Located in the keel section, with a capacity of approx 250 litres, lined with epoxy resin, and inspection hatch provided.
VENTILATION.
The forward cabin hatch cover is hinged and has a waterproof vent to provide fresh air movement through the cabin when closed. The cabin door is also ventilated, ensuring movement of air through the boat when moored.
COCKPIT.
Self-draining and can seat four to six people. Each seat incorporates a large locker sealed from the hull interior. Main hatchway is fitted with lockable fibreglass door.
ANTI-SKID.
All deck areas and the cockpit sole have anti-skid pattern moulded in.
CHAIN PLATES.
Eight stainless steel chain plates are bolted through the deck in areas specially reinforced to distribute the loads.
MAST HEAD RIG.
This gives the yacht a wide choice of headsails for optimum performance and balance under a wide variety of wind and sea conditions. The Alloy Mast is stepped on deck, giving unhindered access to the forward cabin.
STANDARD RIGGING.
1 x 19 Stainless Steel with swaged terminals.
RUNNING RIGGING.
7 x 19 Stainless Steel with synthetic rope tails. Synthetic Jib and Main Sheets.
DECK FITTINGS.
Two Jib Sheet winches and cleats. Jib sheet slides on stainless steel tracks. Stem head fitting with mooring line roller. Bow fairleads. Anchor line pipe through deck. Bow mooring cleat. Main sheet eye.
RUDDER.
Timber completely covered with fibreglass, stainless steel stock with swivelling tiller .
ENGINE.
9.9 HP Tohatsu long shaft (lightly used as the boat was mostly sailed). It can propel the boat at 5-6 knots in flat water, is reliable and uses tiny amounts of fuel. Approx 1-2 litres per hour. An advantage over the inboard models is that it allows for maximum space down below as well as being easy and cheap to service.
